Rotary Friendship Exchange
It was a special day for everyone at Rotary club of Bicholim on january 27. 13 guests from Nairobi, Kenyan rotary clubs were welcomed by us as part of the Rotary international service friendship exchange! We began with a visit to the saptkoteshwar temple, then visited House to homeless project, heading towards Rotary House for special Goan Fish curry for lunch. We then took a tour of the club gallery and 2 factory tours. The curious eagerness of members on both sides to discover and take in the similarities between the two cultures, Indias historical precedent in Kenya, the friendly and hospitable interactions with the locals, and, most importantly, the real opportunities that a club from Bicholim and Nairobi can mutually reach out and work on solutions in their respective neighborhoods.
